Outlook .oft files

Using outlook 2007 and win 7 pro sp1. When trying to open a .oft template file within Outlook, I get the error message "The command line argument is not valid. Verify the switch you are using". Can anyone offer any assistance. I've repaired my MS office 2007 installation, with no help.

Plus, the .oft extension is associated with "Microsoft Office Outlook" application.

Assistance will be greatly appreciated.

No, Outlook is not configured to use compatibility mode. Have Office 2007 Enterprise, I have MS Office 97-Access only installed. Also have MS Access 2002 installed.

I've also run a sfc /scannow with no issues found.
 
I think it's related to Access - the other reports I found also had access installed - but would have expected repair to fix it. Try doing a reinstall of 2007 - Control panel, Add/Remove programs and choose Office, then reinstall.

Went into Control panel, Programs and Features, Choose uninstall, and remove office 2007. Rebooted installed Office 2007 and rebooted after the reinstall. The uninstall and reinstall went perfectly. Reload Outlook 2007, selected my template and received the same error message. Any idea what's going on??
