Import from Outlook 2013 ost file?

If Outlook 2013 has just a single IMAP ost file and the computer dies, can I copy the backup copy (it's on an external hard drive) of the ost to a new computer, and use the Import function to retrieve the Contacts and Calendar that are in that ost file?

No, you can't do that. I highly recommend using a pst for calendar and contacts (like in older versions of Outlook) instead of the ost file - or get in the habit of exporting the calendar and contacts regularly.
