This is something that has to have just occurred in Office 2016 as we have always been able to do this in Office 2010 and as far as I know in Office 2013 with no special changes necessary.
The specific case is where an email is sent from one person to another with a .PNG file in it. The .PNG file has an embedded Hyper-link that connects them to a specific website. In the past, the Users have always kept a Word document where they have pasted copies of all the images they use and the hyper-links have always stayed within the image.
Today, I had someone tell me this was no longer possible, though I could have sworn I have done it since the initial change to Office 2016. I found that she was correct and no amount of using the Paste Special or any other options I could find would allow it to happen.
The Image in the email can be clicked within the body of the email getting the usual "use Ctrl+CLICK" message and doing so does open to the website. However no amount of coaxing will allow "copy-paste" in one move of that image to a WORD 2016 document while keeping the hyper-link embedded.
It can be RE-embedded but it never needed that before. What has changed?
