Hi,
I've got a shared mailbox that I have a full access permission to access on my outlook (Microsoft office 365). I was able to create sub folders underneath the shared mailbox and move some existing folders around. This is a shared mailbox that is shared with other users in a department. I am the manager of the department.
Recently I have been trying to tidy up the folders within the shared mailbox by creating another sub folder called ARCHIVED. At first, I could manage to move some of unwanted folders to ARCHIVED fine until today. When I tried to move one folder to ARCHIVED folder, I received an error message that reads "Cannot copy this folder because it may contain private items". I was trying to change permission by right click on the affected folder and selected properties and changed it to Read and write but with no luck.
Please note that I still want other users to be able to see everything in the shared mailbox.
I googled it and found some that advised to login to the shared mailbox and give it a delegate permission. But how do I do this given that this is a shared mailbox which doesn't have password?
Could anyone please help how to work around this issue?
Thank you so much in advance
