Cannot delete gmail in iPhone Outlook outbox

Outlook 4.22.36.1 on iPhone 14 pro iOS16.0.1 have an email stuck in Outbox and delete comes up but doesn't delete. The phone version doesn't have all of the options that are described to try from searching for a solution. It was in drafts (which happens a lot with gmail) and somehow trying to get it out of there it ended up stick in outbox.
