Are you trying to delete a folder? Does it have subfolder?
Right click on the folder, choose IMAP folders... then Query. Find the folder in the list - are there subfolders under it that don't have yellow icons? Those aren't subscribed - if you try to delete the parent, you'll get this error.
I didn't delete a folder. I was deleting emails in the trash. I'm pretty sure that I clicked the right one. Still getting this error message every 3-4 minutes. Is there a way to get rid of the message?
[DOUBLEPOST=1424967549][/DOUBLEPOST]Thanks for your help in advance. Previously, I had to create a new profile and that took forever to reload all the emails. Looking for a better solution.
The usual solution is to delete the ost and let outlook rebuild it - but it sounds like you have a lot of mail or a slow connection and want to avoid doing that.
You can try browsing the innards of the ost using MFCMAPI and see if there is anything amiss (even i don't know what you need to look for) and send a stop command. I'll try to repro it...
BTW, is there anything in Sync issues folder that might give you a clue?
Get MFCMAPI from mfcmapi.codeplex.com
Run it, choose session, logon (and select the profile if asked)
double click on the imap data file name
expand the root on the left to find IPM_SUBTREE. Expand it
Select the deleted folder for your account.
Nose around on the right click menu - If the Advanced> Restored deleted folder is active, click it. Other tables has a deleted option - not sure if it will be useful.
