Should a new email account also create new contacts

If I create a new email account "account1" should I see a "contacts - account1" under MyContacts? Currently I don't have one. Any thoughts?
 
Not necessarily - if its an exchange account (including outlook.com), yes, but pop and imap accounts will only have a contacts folder if the account's data file is set as default (or was previously set as default). A second pop or imap account added to a profile will use the same contacts (and calendar) as the first account.
 
ok thanks, I've always found contacts and address books confusing with 3 email accounts? Maybe I've misunderstood how its organised and its not necessary to have contacts and address book for each email account? (just set account1 as default, restarted Outlook but still nothing)
