iCloud For Windows v15.x - Missing Email Features ?

While the old iCloud For Windows (a Microsoft Store app, around version 13) included support for the Apple Email Account (like always over the years) ... it seems like this new v15.x does NOT any more. Can anyone verify that (or did the installer just not finish properly)?

Of course, Microsoft Office 2021 Pro was already all installed and working.

Two related things happened during my clean-install on my new Windows-11 desktop.

1. During the install, it never tried to setup the email address for this Apple Account inside Outlook (like all times before).
2. On the new-looking iCloud options-screen, it only lists Calendars & Contacts (Email and Tasks are no longer mentioned).

The installer did finish gracefully, and Contacts & Calendars seem to be working. Looking for tips to finish this up.
 
Don't yall all answer at once. :)

So, all the features I have enabled during initial setup of iCloud for Windows v15.x are working/syncing on new Windows-11 computer.
- Photos
- iCloud-Drive
- Bookmarks in popular browsers
- Contacts and Calendars in Outlook-2021

In Outlook-2021, the installer did properly:
- Add iCloud to top Outlook menu
- Create a NEW .aplzod Data-File named iCloud (to hold my iCloud-based Contacts and Calendars)
- Exited gracefully (and I think completed properly)

The only thing missing is the email-account (for this iCloud Account) didn't automatically get setup. But now that I think about it, I don't think it really needs to. AFAICT, "Email Support" was just an automation-script?

I do like how it set-it-up before. I think the solution now is to just go ahead and setup the account manually (exactly the same as on the old computer). At least for me, since 2-factor authentication is turned on (for this Apple-ID), I generate a one-time-use one for Outlook-2021 at proper Apple-ID link.

I will do it like the old v13 used to do it ... to a dedicated .ost Data-File. I think it can now also be named-better (and placed closer to my main Folders.PST data-file).

Does it sound like I'm on the right track?
 
It worked fine.

This Outlook-2021 (with iCloud for Windows v15.x) install now looks to be configured the same as the old one (as far as Accounts and Data-Files go ... well everything really).

I just setup the IMAP Apple Email Account manually. It created it's own *.ost file to hold it.
It gets named the same as the email address.
Since you should have 2-Factor Authentication enabled, you will need a specially generated Apple App-Specific Password.

After all the email gets retrieved, I like to drag this folder's Inbox up to my Outlook-Favorites.

Setup AddressBook Auto-Complete for Outlook.

In Outlook-2021, this option must be enabled. Options > Mail > Send Messages > Use Auto-Complete.

Then, go to the main Contacts screen.
IF YOU HAVE more than one Folder down the left-side (meaning they are both capable of holding Contacts) ...
Right-click, and select Properties on one of the Contact Folders.
Click to the SECOND-TAB of Properties, and change one of those Outlook AddressBook names a bit (so they are NOT both named just "Contacts"). Now, mine are named "Contacts" and "Contacts iCloud" (because that is...
 
Looks like I ended-up chatting with myself here on my issues. However, while I was here ... I did try to also help in some other threads.

Well, hopefully some of what I typed helps others one day.

I'll check-yall in a couple of years (if standalone Outlook is still around).
