Sent emails show iCloud mail account not the alias

Not sure if you can help with this or not. I have an iCloud account which I have set up in Outlook. It works fine. I also have multiple iCloud alias for the account and I can send from these using Outlook without a problem.

The problem occurs in the actual sent email ie - it shows my display name and the real iCloud email. I want it to show the iCloud alias. Is there a way to do this?

I have set this up but it seems I have to add the same base icloud email account multiple times with it's own (and different) alias each time (these aliases have been set up in icloud ie - 3 different aliases for a single icloud email account).
This has resulted in 3 .ost files being created which have exactly the same emails.
Can I point the 3 'alias' accounts to the same .ost?

Or is there another way to achieve this?
