Emails do not appear in Sent box!

Good Afternoon and thanks for reading my issue,

I am sending emails from my personal IMAP account on my phone. These are not appearing in my outlook 2010 sent box on my PC. I believe this used to work in the past. I imagine it is something really easy, so I apologize in advance.

I have an android phone and use the outlook mail app.

Any help would be great appreciated,

What folder is the app using for sent items? Are the missing messages in another folder in Outlook?

The usual cause is that the device is using a different folder for sent items - you might have two sets of sent, deleted and junk folders. If the account is gmail, look under the [gmail] folder in outlook.
 
Good Morning Diane and thanks for the reply.

The sent items do in fact go to another sent folder called NAME SENT shall I just set it to the normal folder?

Unfortunately it is not a gmail account.
