I have been experiencing intermittent failures in sending email for months that is now constant. I receive email perfectly. This seems to be a common problem as I’ve noted while searching for answers. I found a list of potential solutions, but none worked for me. I can kill and restart Outlook 2021 and the email will send.
I even updated from Office 2019 to Office 2021 in response to a syncing issue with iCloud which was resolved. But the “hanging of sending emails” issue continues. I followed a list of solutions (Outlook Stuck on Synchronizing Subscribed Folders Issue - Fixed) but I was not able to compact the OST file nor delete it as this author suggested. If I delete it, Outlook used to build a new, clean one, optimally thus removing any corruption in the file which might be the source of the problem. But with 2021 I get an error message that Outlook cannot open without the OST file being present.
Anyway, this is just supposition. What do you suggest to get this resolved?
Thanks so much!
