Flagged Emails highlighted in yellow

Flagged emails, by default, are highlighted in yellow. I would like to remove this feature/option and do not want any flagged emails highlighted in yellow.

How do I remove this?

File > Options > Mail - very bottom - do you have an option for highlight flags?

If you don't have the option, try editing the registry -

1. Start typing regedit on the start menu and when the Registry Editor comes up, open it.
2. Browse to HKEY_CURRENT_USER > Software > Microsoft > Office > 16.0 > Outlook > Preferences
3. Right click on Preferences on the right side and choose New > DWORD.
4. Paste HighlightFlaggedMessageListItems as the DWORD name, press enter. Off (no yellow) is 0 which is the default value.

If you later decide you want the yellow background, change the value to 1 or delete the entry.
