Outlook tasks not syncing with iCloud

With the recent IOS updates, Apple has moved tasks/reminders and I am unable to sync them to Outlook.

I have been keeping my PC (Outlook) in sync with my MAC and iPhone using CodeTwo Sync. This kept my contacts, tasks/reminders and calendars in sync. Sadly, tasks are no longer in sync and CodeTwo does not provide support for their free product.

Does anyone have a suggestion here?

Apple changed Tasks, so if you upgraded them, they are in the new tasks container, not the old one that synced. At this time I don't have a solution, other than don't use icloud tasks - use an outlook.com account for them. (Which isn't necessarily a good solution.)

Turn iCloud Calendar, Contacts, and Reminders off and back on
  • Close Outlook.
  • Open iCloud for Windows.
  • Deselect the Mail, Contacts, Calendars & Tasks checkbox and click Apply.
  • Wait a few seconds. Select Mail, Contacts, Calendars & Tasks, and click Apply.
  • Open Outlook.
