Recurring tasks break links Outlook 2016

On Outlook 2016 on Microsoft Exchange, you can include a link to a document in a task. However when the recurring task is recreated for following occurrence, the link is broken. Are there any solutions?
 
Yeah... but I'm often not on the weekends.

in what way are the links broken?

Do you sync tasks with a smart phone? That can mess up the links as the body is converted to plain text.

Yes, it's linked with iPhone through MS Exchange. Internet links remain, while links to documents on PC are turned to plain text. This occurs after recurrence, OR after viewing task on iPhone.

links to documents on PC are turned to plain text. This occurs after recurrence, whether synced smart phone accessed task or not, so it's the recurrence that breaks link. Are you aware of a workaround to protect link?
