Recurring meeting sending a invite for each meeting

I am stumped with this issue and tried searching, but am just not picking the correct keywords. The problem is this...

I have at least one recurring meeting where it will send 20 invites for each meeting and for each person. How do I make it so the person only gets one invite for the recurring meeting?
