Reminder due end of August is showing up now

Weird: I have a reminder set to Aug. 31, 2018, but it keeps on popping up telling me that it is overdue by 13 weeks.
It is something that needs a follow up by date date.

Never had this before.

Can't see anything special.
Any ideas?

Else I will create a new one and set this one to completed.
 
Is the computer clock correct? Are any other events coming up with weird reminders?

Did you verify the reminder is set for the 18th and not set for an earlier date? I would open the event, remove the reminder and reset it for 15 min or whatever you want it set for.
 
Hi Diane, sorry for the delay.
Yes, the computer clock is okay and this is (was) indeed the only event that is (was) popping up.

The date (when opening the reminder) was correctly set to end of August.
In fact, there was nothing 'special/different' compared to other reminders.

Anyway, I have postponed the reminder a couple of times and it seems to stay away now.
It is strange, but I believe it is 'solved' now.
