Outlook saved template function too limited

I think there's a maximum character size to it.

Any third party ones that work with Office365, store templates in their cloud or yours, and work with Outlook profiles that contain more than one mail account? The Topalt one gets confused by that.

SalesHandy offers a subscription one.
 
Are you talking about the 'boiler plate' text templates in outlook.com and office 365? There is a limit to the size of the text, but I don't know what is offhand.

If you are saving normal Outlook templates, there is no size limit. And email templates can be stored in a folder in outlook, for easier access.
 
As I think about it, it's not so much a size limitation of templates (isn't it 32kb?) but difficulty finding the template if I have saved a few dozen of them.

If I use the built in View Template, it doesn't let me navigate thru a tree of folders and subfolders

If I use the method here, Office 365 email template file size - Microsoft Community: creating and saving a template is as easy as File, Save As, File Template. And create or pick an existing subfolder.

But retrieving a template is a lot of clicking:

New Item, More Items, CHoose Form, Look in User Templates in File System

But the real biggee is that I'll have to be sure to save to OneDrive because templates created this way arent't saved in Office 365.

is that why the 3rd party utils create a mail subfolder to save their templates?
