macro to stop 18hr reminder for all-day appts not working on one computer

I added a space before the 'If Typeof" line. saved, restarted OL, tried adding an allday appt. no question , no lines are changing colors.

I copied the macro text from the working desktop macro, pasted into the laptop macro window. restarted OL , still no question.
something is blocking the macro from running. perhaps Office doesn't recognize that I allowed macros to run?

Try disabling macro security in file > options > trust center. Restart outlook, reenbable allow all macros (least secure) then restart again.

Test it. If it still fails, close outlook, rename the macro file - vbaproject.otm at C:\Users\%usernamr%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Outlook. Restart Outlook and paste the macro in thisoutlooksession.

However, however: as an experiment, I turned on Calendar-Outlook . macro worked when entering allday event into Calendar - Outlook. However the calendar that I normally use is Calendar- xxxxx@outlook.com. I won't be at the desktop (where macro works) until monday, but doesn't it have to be the same calendar, since this is the one containing all my calendar entries.? I don't use Calendar - xxxxx@outlook.com since it doesn't have anything I am interested in. I can check to see calendar name on desktop on Monday. But I know that Calendar-xxxx@outlook.com is the calendar I use, since this one syncs with iphone. Calendar-outlook does not sync with iphone.

Is there some way that calendars (or calendar names) can be switched between devices?

Ah... the macro uses the default data file.
Set Items = Ns.GetDefaultFolder(olFolderCalendar).Items

You can either change the default - File > Account Settings > Account Settings > Data file tab. Select the oputlook.com data file. Or change the code to use a specific calendar.

This uses the selected calendar:
Set Items = Application.ActiveExplorer.CurrentFolder.Items


Use the getfolderpath function to use a non-default folder.
Set Items = GetFolderPath("outlook.com address\Calendar").Items

Changing the data file default fixed it. Sorry that I didn't think of this before, though I believe that I did try it without success. Maybe I tried changing to wrong folder? anyway, it work now.

I didn't give it a second thought either, until you mentioned it the other calendar.
