From column changes when message is read

Hi,

Using outlook 2011 for mac:

The "From" column changes after I highlight it when the message is of the form:

john doe <different_name@foo.com
Initially the From column has "john doe"...until I highlight the message and then the name changes to "different_name"........Can I keep it "john doe"?
