Hi Everyone,

I’m having a problem with some excel files and could really use some help. I have noticed that some of the files have numbers missing, which shows up as a jump in numbers. For example from number 3 the next number will be 6, therefore missing 4 & 5 and the jump is displayed by two lines indicating that something is not there.

My second issue is with the alphabetical order, many entries will follow the sequence but in between you’ll have the odd entries that don’t.

Any ideas on how to resolve these?
 
You might be better off asking this in an Excel forum, such as MrExcel.com or Ozgrid.com.
They'll probably want you to upload a samitized copy of your file.
It's difficult to visualze your problem just from a verbal description.
And there's no way to track down issues such as formulas, custom functions, or conditional formats.
