Outlook is NOT removing attachments.

HI Folks,
2013 Outlook. I right-click on attachment icon. Choose "remove attachment". Save/close.
Here's the problem: The file size remains as it was before trying to delete the attachment, regardless of size. Also, the paper clip icon remains alongside the message.
Please help.

Hi Diane,
Yes, this is with 2013. It's such a crime that Microsoft keeps "updating" without ensuring their product is stable.
Another gripe: Color-coded appointments in their calendar. Why is this not the default? Shameful.

By color-coded, you mean categorized? This is in a calendar in the Calendar (This computer only) folder?

It's a limitation of IMAP accounts - categories don't sync to the server so Microsoft removed the capability from imap accounts to avoid confusion when the categories weren't available on other computers or were removed if a folder resynced. There are ways around it using vba.
 
Yes, categorized.
Please do look into the attachment/detachment fiasco, if you are able.
