Hello,
I have set up a number of rules for sorting mail into folders. I would like my folders to be collapsed unless some new mail has come in. As I have researched this issue online, I keep hearing that the default is for folders to expand when new mail comes in, but that hasn't been the case for me.
I have found that if I open up Outlook, it will open with folders expanded if they have new mail. However, if outlook is currently open, and new mail comes in, the folders will not expand in response. I have tested this by creating new folders and rules, then sending email that fits those rules. If Outlook is currently open and a folder is collapsed, I won't know if new mail has come into a subfolder.
Is there a way to fix this?
