business owner in dire need of help outlook is not syncin my contacts!

ive just bought anew phone htc hd2. and when i sync my hpone to outlook the phone and outlook on pc stays sync'd. now when i goto windows live account all my contacts are diffrent! my computer crashed and when resyncin my phone to outlook it added multiple contacts in my phone and in outlook. so i went and checked windows live account and in there there were multiples. then i deleted th eduplicates online, and also deleted them in outlook then synced phone. then i added a contact in phone, and sync'd phone with outlook 2007 and the contact showe up with address, emails, picture everything. then i went and signed back into windows live and that new contact isnt there.




can someone pleas ehelp me. i'm very scared fo loosing all my contact info for all my clients!




my goal...




to be able to sync emails, calender events, and contacts with phone pc and online. so they are all ALWAYS the same!




i should mention also. ive noticed alot fo times. online in my calender that there ar emultiple sometimes QUADRUPLE events.. example. my birthday.. when i goto april 21 there are 4 events for my birthday.. why is it doing thsi to me?




Any suggestions to get my email,caledar, contacts issues figured out once and for all?

Step 1: In Outlook, export your contacts to a new pst for backup.

The birthdays are probably being created by the contacts - its normal for them to create birthdays when the birthday field is filled in but it sounds like the sync is either confusing outlook into thinking they are new contracts or its just a result of your deleting and resyncing.

Did the HTC sync with the Hotmail account before the computer crashed? It's my understanding that most phones won't sync with the connector accounts. (My blackberry won't and I was told iphones won't.)

Sorry to necro and hijack an old thread, particularly as it's my first post, but is this still the case, Slipstick?




I've recently changed from a BB Pearl to an LG GT540, running Android 1.6. The supplied LG PC Suite VI sync software don't pick up any of the Connector folders (which is how I found this site, trawling for answers - none found yet ), which is particularly disappointing as Blackberry Desktop Software v 6.0.0.43 (Bundle 47) released August 25 2010 finally started to see those pesky hidden folders.




Just wondered if a) you knew about the updated BlackBerry software and b) you know of any other phone-desktop software that does sync properly with Connector-based Outlook accounts (my primary account in Outlook).




I also notice that Exchange ActiveSync allegedly works for Live accounts now, but is not yet fully supported on Android and has limited support for other phones/phone OSs (see http://windowslivehelp.com/solution.aspx?solutionid=46bd910c-ed99-497d-80d7-ab8b11237ed0)
