I've gone through the article on this site about modifying a business card layout and then publishing it as a custom form and defaulting it for new contacts. Using Custom Business Cards

This works and applies the customized business card layout if I create a new contact. However what most of my users will do is 'Add to Contacts' from the global address list. In this case, the customized business card layout isn't applied.

I'm wondering if the GAL contacts have a business card layout already created, and the action 'Add to Contacts' isn't technically creating a new contact, it is just copying and existing one. If this is the case, is it somehow possible to modify the business card layout for contacts in the GAL? I would also like to customize the business card layout for all users in the GAL.
