Hi there,

I have managed to sell my first unit of my Outlook COM add-in (written in C#). But when my customer tries to install my add-in, he gets an error message in the installation process:
"Custom functionality in this application will not work because the certificate used to sign the deployment manifest for FolderSearch or its location is not trusted".

Does anyone know what to do?
ChatGPT tells me to buy a certificate. But where can I get one? And how can I use it to sign my add-in?

You can try below steps -

-Check Sync Settings: Ensure Use Cached Exchange Mode is enabled in Account Settings.

-Update Outlook: Go to File > Office Account > Update Options > Update Now.

-Clear Offline Items: Right-click the Drafts folder, go to Properties, click Clear Offline Items, then Update Folder.

-Rebuild the OST File: Rename the OST file in C:\Users\<Your Username>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook\ and restart Outlook.

- Check Add-ins: Disable any add-ins that might interfere with sync under File > Options > Add-ins.

- Repair Office: Go to Control Panel > Programs and Features, select Microsoft Office, and choose Quick Repair.
