Alright folks, I’m desperate. Head of HR with an email issue (you know it's serious)
The Problem:
Randomly, a single, solitary piece of incoming mail (both internal/external) will go directly to the deleted items folder. Has only happened 10 or so times in the last month, but they have always been extremely important emails, and I have not been able to find a single common factor in any of them. We are not able to recreate the issue.
I’ve done extensive research on this, but all forums seem to always land on “It’s a rule”, which is not the case
Here's the set up:
Exchange 2007, SP2
Single user mailbox affected; utilizing non-cached mode. 3 machines total (has been this whole time):
Work Machine - Win 7, Outlook 2007
Travel/Home Laptop- Win 7, Outlook 2010
Other machine used for Litigation purposes - Win 7, Outlook 2010 (this one has 2-3 attached mailboxes at all times)
No rules across any of the 3 machines. Utilized MFCMAPI to ensure there were no dead/hidden/corrupted rules lying on the mailbox
No rules on BBerry or in BES, email redirection configured correctly, mailbox wins all conflicts.
No other users have access to this user’s mailbox.
