Import distribution list into MS Exchange Sharepoint

Is there any way possible to import a distribution list into MS Exchange Sharepoint for a sharable contact group? I imported my outlook contacts into a contact group list in sharepoint but the distribution lists did not upload. My outlook is sync'd with the sharepoint and my webmail. I see the sharable contact list in my outlook and I even tried to copy and paste it in, drag and drop it.. I don't even see where you can start a distribution list in the sharepoint. The staff expects to have the distribution lists in the same sharable contact list we all have sync'd now. Time Warner Cable is looking into a solution and was to get back to me. They still have not figured it out or returned my calls. We have 50+ distribution lists to import .... don't know what I am to do now..
 
I made it so all staff may be editors for the sharepoint to add, edit and design pages. We are using the webmail- 2010 outlook web app which sync's with our outlooks on our computers. I have a contact in my outlook which contains all contacts and distribution lists in it. I shared it with them and gave them owners priviledges so they can add and edit and access the distribution lists. It works great and everyone can share this group- Problem- this list is not available in their email contact list selections. when you use the dropdown to select which contact list you want to search/use, this list does not appear.

I then tried to make a public folder in which to put all of the contacts in, including the distribution lists and it says I do not have permission. I have adminstrator permission for all- MS hosted exchange, online back up and etc.. I contacted our rep and technicians and again they said they will look into it and get back to me. I told them i need to have the priviledges for the public folders and they have to look into it. I need to have these distribution lists easily accessible for them in their outlooks. I am struggling and the staff is highly upset it isnt fixed yet. I am at witts end and don't know what to do. It is very upsetting the the reps and techs who sold this to us is clueless and are unable to answer most issues we have. I have been fixing issues by searching the internet for answers. This is very upsetting. Now my job may be in jeopardy because of the lack of knowledge from my service providers. help
 
How often do the DLs change? You could create them in the GAL, then they would be available to everyone.
