Hi All,
I used the archive/backup function on my work email (Microsoft Exchange server) to save all my emails to an external hard drive.
It appeared to work. It looked like things were being processed or archived to my external hard drive. When I look at the folder properties on the hard drive there is data because it tells me how much MB or GB there is.
However, when I follow the procedure to import the .pst files into my personal Outlook account it does not take and I have tried everything. Then I recently came across this:
“Archive and AutoArchive might not be available if your mail profile connects to an Exchange Server. It's also possible that your organization has a mail retention policy that overrides AutoArchive. Check with your system administrator for more information.”
Archive older items automatically
Does anyone know of a way to either check if this is true or how to recover the emails that I cannot import into my Outlook?
