Keeping an Outlook window on top (2010)

Hi folks, I use Filebox Extender as an Explorer shortcut manager and app to keep certain windows on top of others. It doesn't work with Outlook so I then installed Desk Pins which did. However, Desk Pins does not work with Win 8 - it installs ok but clicking on a pin does nothing.

There are lots of paid options available but before I purchase one I'd like to know if Outlook users have any recommendations, or if there are options available in Outlook itself. For example, I like to keep an email open while I enter key details into the Calendar. Can this be done any way?

This may not be what you want, but I find it handy at times like those to re-size and arrange the windows I want to work with, so they are all viewable for copying (or even drag/drop) between them. This is where Windows got it's name, yes?

FYI this works in Windows 7 and probably Win8; can be handy: Open the email, open your calendar, then (if no other programs are open) just right-click the taskbar, click Show windows side by side. If other apps are running, just minimize all by clicking the Show Desktop icon... then click two taskbar items you want to view, such as your open email and your calendar... THEN right-click the taskbar, click Show windows side by side.
 
Yes, that's what I've been doing up till now but it's tedious doing it constantly. Thanks for replying.

FWIW, once you have "set" the side-by-side (or top-to-bottom) screen sizes, Windows will remember them, saving the tedium of resizing them each time.
