Hi all
This is a strange issue that was discovered by one of our users today. Consider this scenario:
This is only affecting the folder, not the saved .msg file within. It is also only affecting the folder if it was created while doing 'Save As' from Outlook.
Using Outlook 2010 14.0.7106.5003 on Windows 7 (both 32-bit).
Does anyone have an explanation for this?
Thanks!
Dan
P.S.: I just found out that this effect is not limited to Outlook. I can reproduce the same with Word 2010.
This is a strange issue that was discovered by one of our users today. Consider this scenario:
- User opens a message in Outlook
- Doing 'File-> Save As' and while in the file browser, creates a new folder
- Saves message in new folder
- After the message is saved, trying to move or delete the folder
- File Explore will give a 'Folder in Use' error, effectively preventing the operation
- Only after Outlook is closed, the folder can be moved or deleted
This is only affecting the folder, not the saved .msg file within. It is also only affecting the folder if it was created while doing 'Save As' from Outlook.
