Inbox view changed can't get it right

Outlook 2010 32 bit
Email Account
Exchange Server
My preferred view is "Unread Mail".

I would like all Unread Mail to be in Blue and Bolded, using conditional formatting can usually do this ok.

I would also like mail from certain people to appear in this Unread Folder to come in in different colors.

Used to work, now no matter how many times I try "Conditional Formatting" I cannot get these messages to change from Bold Blue to say Bold Red.

Outlook 2010, 32Bit, Windows 7 via Exchange Server.
