Delete e-mails from server

Hi, I'm not very technical but need some desperate help.

I'm using Outlook 2003 and an IMAP e-mail account. My inbox is apparently full on the server so I can't receive any new e-mails to Outlook. To delete them from the server I've been told to go onto my e-mail accounts and under the advanced option there should be a Delivery option or something to delete them from the server but it's not there.

Help!! :)

Not with imap accounts, that is POP3 only.

Assuming you've emptied the junk and deleted folders and purged mail from the mailbox and deleted mail you don't need to keep... Go to Tools, Account Settings, view or change accounts and Add a pst file to the profile then move mail to the pst file to store it offline.

I think the Purge options are on the View menu in 2003 - purge then set it to purge on folder change. If you can't find it, I'll boot a 2003 machine to check for sure.
