Hello,
We currently have a Microsoft 365 for Family account and we have installed Outlook on our Home PC desktop. We use gmail for our personal account, and our business emails are set up on Google Workspace. I am able to monitor my personal email, as well as my office emails (multiple mailboxes) on the desktop outlook using IMAP. It works really well for us.
We use a 3rd party software that has been installed using Com Add-In. This software is ending support by end of year.
This 3rd party software says it's new version is available for Outlook on Windows 2019 with this note - Outlook should be connected to Office 365, Outlook.com or Exchange 2016+.
I am not able to install the new version on our current Desktop Outlook. The "Get Add-ins" button is greyed out. I have gone through support articles and checked the relevant Account Privacy options.
The question is: How do we fix this? Do we need to change our Outlook Desktop to Microsoft 365 for Business? I have a spare license that we have not been using and could use it. I have tried Outlook on the Web and but cannot use IMAP for Gmail. What do we need to do to fix this issue, without losing Google Workspaces based Emails.
Thank you.
Ajay
