Outlook version
Outlook 2010 32 bit
Email Account
IMAP
Hi,

I have Outlook 2010 on my Windows 7 - 64 bit PC. At the moment I Gmail is handling my domain/email account. I have an iPhone...

What would be the absolutly best way if you want seamless syncing over the internet for emails, calendars, contacts and tasks so that I can have everything in sync on both my iPhone and within Outlook on my PC?

Should I stay with Gmail but using some clever add-ons? Changing to Outlook.com? Or some other intelligent solution?

Are you paying for google apps or in under their free service? That would have a bearing on what might be the best option.

Outlook.com would be 'less messy' - one account in outlook, no 3rd party addins. If you have your own domain, domains.live.com can host domains - and sync the phone using ActiveSync and Outlook 2010 using the Outlook connector.

You can use a sync utility that syncs calendar with Google and use IMAP for email. (I don't think any sync contacts)

If you don't need the google calendar, can use Gmail imap and iCloud.

You could use Office365 - cost starts at $4 a month, so its on par with Google apps costs. It takes full advantage of everything Outlook has to offer. Sync is over the air, using ActiveSync. If you are paying for google apps I would seriously consider this as it's a better experience than Hotmail. Plans & pricing

Outlook.com may be more privacy-friendly, if that concerns you. (Office365 is more secure and ad-free.)

Have you been Scroogled? Try Outlook.com for email that prioritizes your privacy.

No, I am using Google Gmail as a free service, but have directed my domain's mx-pointer to be handled by Gmail.

It sounds that Outlook.com might be a better solution, especially if I upgrade to Outlook 2013???

I do not know what "Have you been Scroogled" means! :)

Scroogled is a word Microsoft made up. :)

I don't think it really matters if you upgrade to 2013 - outlook.com will work fine with Outlook 2010 and the Outlook connector.
