Possible reasons for attachment loss?

Hi,

I modify an existing answer e-mail item (Re using redemption objects

(VB6 AddIn project). Here is the affected code (simplified):

Dim rMail As New Redemption.SafeMailItem

Dim rgfAttachment As Redemption.Attachment

Mailobject.Save ' answer mail item

rMail.Item = Mailobject

' ### kill previous attachments ###

For x = rMail.Attachments.Count To 1 Step -1

rMail.Attachments.Item(x).Delete

Next x

' ### add new attachment ###

Set rgfAttachment = rMail.Attachments.Add("c:\new_attachment.abc",

olByValue, 1)

rgfAttachment.Fields(&H370E001E) = "application/vnd.myapplicationname"

rMail.Save

rMail.Send

For most customers this works fine. But some of my customers are

missing the newly added attachment completely. But only if the

original Mailobject has been an answer-mail (Re that has been sent

from the same domain as the current user (exchange). If the Mailobject

is an answer to an incoming mail from the outside or the Mailobject is

a newly generated mail, if works fine. If it is an answer to an

incoming mail from inside the same domain, it fails by loosing the

attachment. Strange...

Any ideas what happens here? Are there some filtering mechanisms

active? There is no error occuring during this code. The customer does

not run any special addins other than the standard, exept OpenCTI

(telephony addin).

Any ideas, what mechanism's are able to remove attachments from AddIn

generated mails?

What Outlook versions is this happening with? Where and when are you adding

the attachments that are going missing? Are the original attachments all

being removed? Any specific mail formats or WordMail involved?
