Is it possible with Outlook form

Hi All,

Happy to be in this forum and the world of outlook is handled great here.

Here is my question.

I need a mail to be routed from maker to checker and to user

mail needs to pass through three people Maker, checker and user.

Step 1: Maker needs to sends and email template ( he will add some information with in the template mail) to checker. ( Mail contains the user id also to whom the mail needs to be send after checking completed)

Step 2: After checker validates and its correct, he has to send the mail to the user mentioned by the maker. but the mail received by user should say that its is received from maker ( because user should not know that checker had played a part there)

Step 3: If checker finds an error he needs to returns the mail to the maker.


Can this process can be achieved by outlook forms....

Yes and No. Yes, because it is possible, but would require a complicated form/routing process. No, because it's not something a simple custom form can do.

If complicated means how complicated, whether it can be achieved with very high programming levels of knowledge?
whether you or anyone in this forum can help to achieve this.

Also, is there any other way simpler to do in outlook. May be outlook forms is not a great idea to achieve it.

High programming skills - out of my league skills. You'd probably need it compiled as an addin. Although now that I've read it again... it maybe doesn't sound so complicated.

On this:

does the checker have send as permission for the maker's account? If so, he could put that persons name in the from field. Automating this with a macro would be iffy - but you could check the from address on send and confirm the senders, if that doesn't annoy the checker too much.

But I would probably say send it back to the maker - there might be a way to use a run a script rule to grab the incoming approval and send the message, it just depends on how unique it is, so messages that need fixed aren't sent by accident.

What you say is 100% correct and i accept it.... step 2 i mentioned is complicated and annoying...

Lets take as you say,

Maker send mail to Checker

Checker after validates send Maker as "Ok to send"

Then Maker will send the mail to the concern user.

If any mistake Checker reject it back to Maker.

let me know what details you want from me to accomplish this...
