Hello All
My laptop (64-bit operating system) runs the Windows 10 Home version 22H2, with MS Office Professional Plus 2010 installed.
I am trying to add my xxx@hotmail.com account to my MS Outlook 2010 version 14.0.7268.5000 (32-bit) so that I can make a .pst file of an email folder with over 4000+ emails in it. In the absence of Outlook Hotmail Connector, I followed all the advice in Microsoft Outlook Connector 14.0.6123.5001 - Help!
I have been able to (sort of) add my xxx@hotmail.com account - that is I can see the email address in my Outlook 2010 navigation pane. However, there are no folders (other than the Inbox [empty] and 'Search Folders') under the account.
A pop-up continually appears asking me to enter my user name and password for the following server: imap-mail.outlook.com. I put my email address as the user name and enter the password which I use for the Outlook app, however the pop-up just keeps popping up! Can anyone help me please? Thank you.
p.s. I know that I can make things 'easier' for myself and subscribe to Microsoft 365, but MS Office Pro Plus 2010 works perfectly well... except for this one major annoyance.
 
If all you want is a static copy of your current hotmail.com emails, you could look at an Archiver like Free MailStore Home. It can connect to your hotmail.com and put all your mail into a local database and then you can export to a PST file.
