Exporting and importing contacts in Outlook 2007

Hello:

There are 2 laptops with Outlook 2007.

I want to transfer the contacts from laptop 1 to laptop 2.

I found the following instructions that I believe explain what I want to accomplish.

My question is if I create the same email account from laptop 1 in laptop 2, wouldn't all the contacts be downloaded from the POP3 server to a local .pst file on laptop 2?

From what the website says the contacts are merged in the same .pst file where the email are stored.

No, because contacts are not stored online when you use a pop account. If you have contacts stored in the web access interface, they are not downloaded when you use pop3 - you only get mail in the inbox.




The easiest way to share contacts when you use 2 computers is by exporting to a pst on one computer and importing it on the other.
