Change default "Display As" for contact email addresses

I add a LOT of contacts to my Outlook each week. I want the "Display As" for my contacts to be their "First Name Last Name <email address>". Right now it's just their email address. I add so many contacts it's really a lot of time for me to change that for each individual person.

How do I change the default?

The default is 'full name (email address)' when you create contacts in outlook, like this:




mary contrary (mary@here.com)




If you aren't seeing that, how are you importing or creating them?




if you really mean you want

mary contrary <mary@here.com>

with the brackets, you'll need to use a custom format - see Bulk change display name format
