email not recognized in address book

My primary Contacts are stored in my iCloud folder and kept synced to my Apple iCloud account. Since doing this however Outlook 2010 is having problems recognizing names when I create emails and after clicking To... the Address Book shows all the contact names but does not show email addresses. If I select a name it is entered in the To field of the email as LastName, FirstName but when I send I get an error. I end up having to right-click the name in the To field, select show Contact, then copy the email address and enter that in the To field instead of the name I selected from the address book.

The were created in Outlook. I also might add that I used Scrubly to clean up duplicates that get created when using iCloud.
 
Yeah, I'm sill here, trying to repro but i haven't been able to so far.
 
I just found out my Contacts (mobile) address book has all the email addresses in it. So I change "when opening the address book, show this address first" to "Contacts (mobile)" - there are actually two address books with this same name. The first one is from my primary Contacts (which has no entries anymore), the second from my iCloud Contacts. So my problem is solve, except that I don't even know where the Contacts (mobile) address book comes from and I'm uncertain as to whether it gets updated when I update iCloud Contacts. It has my latest entries so I guess it updates along with iCloud Contacts. What is "Contacts (Mobile)" address book - where does it come from?

Except that mobile address book displays phone numbers instead of email addresses for those entries that have phone numbers. So I'm back to square one. How to I get my regular address book to display email addresses?
 
The contacts (mobile) address book is a view Microsoft creates that contains the cell phone 'addresses' (phone numbers) so you can use it for text messages to the phones. It works with the New > Text message command, if you use an SMS provider or Exchange server and SMS is enabled on it.
