I know how to remove an email account from Outlook 365, but it seems it must be completely removed from my Google Account to get rid of it totally. After running hither and yon in Google, I see one can remove the Gmail Account which takes everything out. But I want to remove one or two only, so would appreciate advice on how that is done exactly.
As you know, Google is going to make some switches by the end of September, and from what I understand, any @gmail. email will not work in Apps such as Outlook, unless one is a genius following the rules which Google has begun already.
Advice on how to get rid of one or two @gmail.com accounts without removing everything, will be appreciated.

I guess I should have held off on deleting the first thread. :)

Do you have a link to the changes at gmail? I thought they were for business accounts - personal accounts were changed like 2 years ago. with that change, you can use older Outlook but need to have 2-step verification enabled and use an app password. As far as I know, that is not changing.

Back to your question - are you trying to close the Gmail account? I didn't think you could have more than one address per Gmail account.

The new heading for this thread is indeed, "I guess I should have held off on deleting the first thread" OR "I must have got totally stupid and emptied the Trash where I received this email from Google." I guess that means, I do not have the link for that.
You mentioned about using the older Outlook... I'm actually using the latest Outlook 365 as you no doubt noticed in my profound, opening thread... again.
In Outlook, I have several @gmail.com accounts (email addresses & not sure if those are interchangeable terms). I know how to remove a @gmail.com email address from Outlook, but to totally remove that, doesn't one have to do that from within one's Google Account? If so, I cannot find anywhere how to remove one or more email addresses, although I'm sure I did do that one time.
Anyway, you can get me straightened out on this if you will. That will be so much appreciated.

I'm still not sure where you want to remove them from...

This is where google has the linked addresses but you can only have one Gmail address per account.

If you are using the new Outlook that replaces Windows Mail (or even old outlook) and want to remove the entries from the suggested accounts list, you cant. :(

Thank you, Diane for your reply. I thought to have removed them from the Google Account itself, so my curiosity got me to thinking, "How do I remove one @gmail.com address at a time." But I am finding out now, one cannot unless that one removes all gmail. addresses at once.
What started this ball rolling, stems from the email I received (and deleted) from Google which states the following, "Beginning September 30, 2024: third-party apps that used only a password to access Google Accounts and Google Sync will not longer be supported." I happened to find the Link for that, which is here:

After trying to fathom their options, I find it near impossible if not totally impossible to follow their alternatives. I figured if this gives me grief as to Outlook not downloading my gmail, then I'll remove those gmail addresses. But then you say, this might be just for business accounts, in which if this is the case, I can put this thing to rest. Please confirm. :-)
