We have an issue with one machine which receives copies of our orders and auto prints them (for auditing purposes)

This has been getting hung up at times with a prompt for credentials, but not our domain credentials. It sits waiting and other new emails do not print. I have been trying to get a screenshot but people keep closing the prompt.

Is there a way to block this prompt?

they hit escape and it closes, resumes printing. its just the fact that when it pops up it halts the automatic print

They need toat least get the title so we can figure out what is bringing it up so we know what needs to be stopped. If the password can be saved, that could help too - assuming they know what password it is looking for.

Yes, i got a screenshot of that today. Also, the email in question turned to red italics. Sometimes this even happens with internal messages (we are on a domain) but mostly from external. I have -no- idea what www. ppai .org is, it is not related to us in any way

is the message that is being printed from this ppai? It seems like it might be trying to download images before printing and needs to log on to that site get them.

Did the text in the message turn red or just the list in the inbox? When a message in the message list runs red, it's flagged for follow-up and is overdue. (Default is not italics though. )

It wasnt a flag, im familiar with that. It was definite italicize. I was able to locate the problem email, and it is indeed from ppai.org. We cannot block the sender or anything like that, all of these emails print to audit our orders and someone hand checks them (old fashioned method i know but they are set in their ways).

You may be correct on the images thing. Unfortunately I cannot block images or do read mail in plain text (they need the images at times

I just dont understand why it would be asking for credentials. I forwarded the same email to my machine and no such message popped up, although i notice the one image in the email did not load: "the linked image cannot be displayed, the file may have been moved renamed or deleted"

really we just need to never have this prompt come up.

Also found this coming up at the same time, which makes sense.. i just need a way to block these requests for credentials

Microsoft Word

The command cannot be performed because a dialog box is open. Click OK, and then close open dialog boxes to continue.

if you look at the source code what url is the linked image pointing to? Search the source for other links that might point to a secured or internal links (to the ppai domain) - if its not an image, then something else is triggering a request.

here is the source (removed our internal addresses)

This is what the red text looks like.

My guess is that it's the bluehornet url before the image map - it's supposed to download an image (now missing) that is not properly configured to be public.

That makes sense. I just dont care about the image causing the problem really, i need the credentials thing to not pop up. Its not just from this one site, its from lots of them. We get probably one every other day that halts printing. Is there a way to just auto deny these things from coming up?

No, not that I know of, but I'll double check. I don't know if you could use something like click yes to dismiss it automatically. They tend to rely on the title bar, which probably isn't the same each time. If it's always from this same company or all the messages use the bluehornet service, I would use a rule to set the messages side for review before printing.

that looks like conditional formatting. Did you check the message header? There is a way to make (non outlook mail) past due without showing a flag, or someone created a conditional formatting rule to highlight this mail.

Send keys in VBA could dismiss it.

There are no rules for flagging anything. This is a non user account that just gets mail and auto prints it. I set the machine up and no actual user is on it. The header is blank

Had another one today. Showed up in red italic and asked for credentials. Totally different site. The source is way too long to post for it though. it was www-groomenergy.ccsend.com
