Distribution list fails after conversion to Unicode PST

I recently converted my PST to the new (well, not all that new) Unicode format. Today, when I tried to use an email distribution that I have used for years, I got error messages. I have attached screen shots of the messages.

There are 3 screen shots. The dates indicate the order they occurred.

  1. 20130916 This is the message I get when I click Send with the distribution list in the To: field. This worked before the conversion.
  2. 20130917-1 I get this message when I try to expand the list.
  3. 20130917-2 I get this message if I click on OK on thje previous message.

Help!

Do I need to recreate the list?

It's possible the group was damaged in the conversion. Group membership points to contacts using entryids and copying the contacts and groups changes the id. Open the contact group, click forward > internet format. This will create a text list of members. Now hit the update button. Do the contacts resolve?
 
That makes sense. It was not a large list, so I just redid it. Thanks.
