Restore deleted contact distribution list

I accidentally deleted one of my contact distribution lists. My intention was to delete one name, but it deleted the entire list instead. I found the deleted distribution in my "deleted items" bin for emails. When I click "save" it does not return to my saved contacts lists.

How can I restore this list without reentering every email address individually?

I am using Outlook 2007 with Windows.
 
Did you try dragging it out of the deleted folder and into the Contacts folder? Switch to the folder list (Ctrl+6) so you can see both folders on the screen at the same time.

ETA: you should be able to drag it to the Contacts button but Outlook sometimes wants to create a new contact with the dragged item as an attachment.
