Here's the scenario... Clean install of Win7 x64 & Office 2013/BCM. Create dbase for bcm named "Torque" Used bcm for a day and did a backup of bcm. Then issues with Adobe patches require new install of OS so full new clean install of Win7 x64 & Office 2013/BCM. (fwiw, clean install means the OS partition was deleted, recreated and re-formatted prior to new install) Open OL/bcm. BCM forces me to create new dbase. I name it "TorqueInc" Then attempt to restore previous dbase. Get message stating something about unable to restore as I am not the owner or don't have permission (my bad... I don't recall the exact error message)
Then as with any new install there is some updating to do. I do a bit of that and the next time I open OL there's no bcm. So I enable bcm and it wants me to create a new dbase (again) and I can't use either "torque" or "torqueinc" because "A database with this name already exists. Type a new name." However the "Torque" dbase doesn't show up in the "Connect to a local dbase" window. There is "TorqueInc" dbase in the connect to local dbase window however selecting it and clicking "connect" does nothing.
Really I only care about the backed up dbase "Torque" as I had used it for a day and there are notes, history, etc. in it.
How on God's green planet do I get ownership of the "Torque" dbase back and be able to connect/restore/whatever so I don't lose the work that I started and this whole mess begins to work for me?
TIA
Michael
