Upgrade BCM System from 2010 to 2013

Hi Diane,

I have read through the docs and what I could find with bingle, but I am still confused about the process.
I have a client with SBS 2010 hosting the shared BCM 2010 database.
I am adding a few new desktops which will run Win10 and office 2013 and BCM 2013.
I have a few desktops which are running Win7 and office 2010 and BCM 2010 and they will be upgraded to Win10 with office 2013 and BCM 2013.
I understand the process to upgrade the existing machines and the new machines I can clean install office 2013 and BCM 2013.
What I can not find explicit directions for is how to upgrade the remote database to work with BCM 2013. I assume I need to do this first?

Can you shed some light on this please,
