Win 10, MS 365 Subscription running on desktop, laptop and android cell
After verifying the problem is the same on both Win machines, the laptop and cell were shut down and trouble shooting was done only on the desktop.
Configured email accounts include Outlook .com and Comcast.com which is the primary/default.
When a specific email address, we'll call it emailX, is received, it briefly appears in the Comcast Inbox then disappears
When access the Comcast email account via the web browser

- Oddly, it is a Outlook.com address and no other incoming email is affected in this way
- After deletion, there is no sign of emailX in any of all the Outlook/Comcast/ email and archive folders
- There are no Outlook rules configured for either account
- There are no rules defined at Comcast.com
- Symantec is the installed security so during trouble shooting, I disabled the Symantec spam Outlook addin and then temporarily disabled both the Symantec FW and virus security. There is no other email scanning software running
- Other than Exchange, there are no other Outlook addins
- If have run the MS Office Repair
When access the Comcast email account via the web browser
- The Trash folder option to Restore Deleted Items shows the missing emailX items
- If emailX is sent with the Outlook client closed, it arrives and persists normally in the Comcast Inbox which appears to confirm the problem is caused by Win/Outlook
- If emailX is sent to the Outlook.com account, Outlook processes it normally
- Oddly, a single emailX processed normally in Outlook Comcast\Inbox last Sunday and early today but all others failed as above.
- After carefully reviewing all scenarios and Event logs, I cannot find the cause of the problem or why these two succeeded.
