I can set our phone system to send notifications with an .wav file attachment of the voicemail. The sender as well as the name of the attachment indicates which phone line the message is associated with. Based on which phone number the message is associated with, I would like to save it to a specific folder on my hard drive.
For example: I get an email with a wav attachment named 2145551212.2432434.wav from 214.555.1212 (no reply). I would like to automatically save that file to folder c:sharesync\2145551212 and have the date included in the new file name. Can anyone help with how to do that?

The macros at http://www.slipstick.com/developer/code-samples/save-messages-and-attachments-in-a-new-folder/ should get you pointed in the right direction.

Or this page - http://www.slipstick.com/developer/code-samples/save-rename-outlook-email-attachments/ - it has a run a script rule example if you want to do it as the messages arrive.

You can get the number to use from the attachment name easily and adding the date to the file name is simple - there should be examples of that on those pages.

Can I have multiple rules that place the attachment in a specific file folder based on the sender? We have multiple phone lines and I need the files in separate folders for each.
