I send a lot of emails with Outlook 2000 in html format. Most of my emails have attachments. I needed to prove which attachment was attached to an email many months ago after I had cleaned out my sent items folder. I have 100 different subfolders on my desktop and all sent and received emails get saved to the appropriate subfolder on the hard drive (not in outlook) after sending. This keeps my .ost file smaller and permits me to search the subfolder for emails rather than outlook. Well...I have referenced in the email a file that was attached but the html version of the email that I saved on my hard drive did not give me the filename of the attachment. I tried saving everything as a .txt file but that didn't give me the path of the attachment either. Any suggestions would be most appreciated. Thanks.
