Save downloaded images with the email

Outlook 2010 32 bit

Exchange Server
I have my Trust Center settings so that the images are automatically downloaded. Problem is, every time I close Outlook it has to re-download the images. The other problem is that older emails can no longer download the images (location no longer exists).

What I want to do, is have the images downloaded for the email, then saved with that email.

I have searched the internet for this, but all I can find is how to save the images to a file, not save them with the email itself.

Anybody?
 
The downloaded content is saved in the temp internet folder. It's not possible to save the external content in the message without altering the message. If you need to keep the full message with external content, you can save it as an HTML file on your hard drive. (Or print to PDF or other electronic format).

I was aware of saving the email as an HTML or other format, but now I know that it isn't possible to save the email the way I was hoping.
